Moving Day

Frequent readers of the blog will not be surprised to learn it rained on our moving day. Yes, the week leading up to Saturday, October 25 was sunny and full of clear skies. In fact, rain had not fallen since October 1! Did the rain put a damper on our happy spirits? No way! In fact, we were so sure it would rain on our moving day, we were very prepared. Not to mention, it reminded us of our wedding day. Awwww.

Saying goodbye to Fieldstone Farm.

Loading up the truck.

Driving on the Beltway.

Arrival!

We weren't supposed to allow the moving truck onto our driveway (it could crack), but we had to shorten the distance between the truck and the house because of the rain. Luckily, our driveway did not crack under pressure. (Much like Michael.)

All our stuff.

The night before the move, Michael and my dad covered every floor surface with special paper so the water wouldn't be tracked in. Rain is no match for us.

Even the walls were covered with old blankets.

Stay tuned for a surprise visit by a special houseguest.
