Michael and I have learned that that it will always rain on important days in our lives. In this "never before seen" wedding photo, you can see the skies about to open up on our beautiful outdoor garden wedding, which was forced inside moments before the ceremony was set to begin. One can never underestimate the value of a backup plan and a good umbrella.
You can imagine, it comes as no surprise that the last two times we visited the construction site, rain had turned the site into a huge puddle of mud. On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11...
Then, last week, I graduated from law school and the rainy weather did not disappoint. The overcast skies and frequent precipitation were a wonderful reminder that rain equals "joy" in our lives.
The professor behind me offered these words of encouragement as she placed the hood on me: "Nice pedicure." I'm so glad she noticed!
My "big" brother Jamie is too cute for words.
Michael is wondering why he didn't get a cap and gown.

Michael chose to stay in the car...
...while I braved the uneven terrain in cute (and terribly impractical) shoes.
And again on Tuesday, May 20...
I can only hope rain falls on the days of the Bar exam, because I can use all the "good luck" I can get!
