In the pursuit of the elusive silver lining

Although the Bar exam is a mere one month away, I continue to attempt to have a positive outlook. Emphasis on attempt.

Good news: A little birdie told me our windows are in!

Bad news: Mortgage interest rates are creeping back up. A few months ago, they were hovering around 6.5% and got down to around 6%. Today, our loan officer tells us they are around 7.1%. I'm the first to admit I'm ignorant when it comes to all the details and terminology surrounding mortgages, but I know this isn't a good direction for the numbers to be heading.

Good news: I don't have class on Friday night!

Bad news: I have a two-day practice test all day on Saturday and Sunday. Booo!!!

Good news: We meet with the electrician and Guardian (security people) on Monday--the same day the plumber begins on our house.

Good news: Michael got me the best new watch that conforms with the bar examiners' standards:
