I'm baaaaaack!

Helloooooo world! I'm back and it feels oh so good. I'm currently sitting in my lovely Hampton Inn Suite (we love earning Hilton Honors points!) right across from Camden Yards the day after the Bar Exam. Apparently, my brain did not inform my body that I no longer have to study, because I was up before 7am!

View from our window overlooking Camden Yards and Ravens Stadium.

When I arrived here Monday night, there was a wonderful surprise waiting for me in the refrigerator.

I have the greatest parents! Thank you!!!!! Michael and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious chocolate covered strawberries and adorable pineapple-melon flowers and stars!

Michael, thank you for your incredible support the past three years as I put you through the torture of suffering through law school and the Bar Exam a second time. We made it!!!

Jamie, thank for for calling and checking up on me over the past two months. You are the most loving brother in the whole wide world!

Thank you to the rest of my family and friends for e-mailing, calling, and sending your positive thoughts and happy wishes. You are the best!!!

Although I don't think she reads this blog, I must thank my acupuncturist Sherrie Black for keeping me calm and centered. She practiced law for several decades before becoming an acupuncturist, so she has a keen awareness of the stress I have been under recently. If you need an acupuncturist near Columbia, MD, she's your woman!

I have one order of business before I catch up on our last two visits to the house. Would anyone like 800 completely useless flashcards?

Then again, they may not be completely useless. The results of the Bar Exam are not released until November, so I will be hanging on to these suckers for awhile.

On to the house...

Before the Bar Exam, we had our Pre-Drywall meeting with Asif on July 13. We also visited the house on July 20 after the drywall went up. We haven't been back, but a little birdie who visits our house quite frequently (my dad) tells us the progress has been remarkable. We will visit shortly, but here are the pictures we took during the blog posting hiatus.

July 13: Pre-Drywall

(Note: For those of you who notice formatting stuff, I'm trying out the new format of putting the captions under the photos in this post, contrary to previous posts.)

This is the taken from the Master Bedroom looking toward the front of the house.

Lots of pipes and wires in the ceiling! Notice the recessed lighting on the right.

Back of the house before the deck went up.

July 20: Post-Drywall

Brick is up! Oooooh...pink brick!

Again, I am in the kitchen for reasons completely unknown to me.

Whew. Thanks for reading the long post! I am so excited to be able to focus on the house and the fun stuff we have coming up (Lion King, weddings, Hawaii, San Diego, seeing my friends)!
